Death Trip sales etc

Hi everyone

Death Trip has been out now for a week and is doing very well.  I am still completely shattered with the process of getting a book out, the anxiety and stress,  and then moving straight on to deliver another in December. But, of course, I am still so in love with the process of writing a novel.

It’s such a nervous time, waiting for the feedback on it. I have had such a lot of support from my web site. I can’t tell you how great that it is. On a bad day, to open my mailbox and find someone has taken the trouble to tell me it was all worth it – it makes me happy for the rest of the day... thank you. I know you have to get a thick skin in this business and when The Trophy Taker came out I had so many horrible emails that I was scared to check my mailbox: people saying I had no talent etc.and why me instead of them? People forget that you are a vulnerable person on the end of the ‘send’ button. They can write whatever they like.  On that note - it’s a pity that my first Amazon review wasn’t brilliant.  It put me in a state of panic and self doubt all day.  But, at the end of all that, I have to evaluate it and the truth is that I feel really good about Death Trip. I couldn’t have worked any harder over it or felt more pleased with it. Yes, sure, if I had another year to work on it I would probably change this, enhance that,  but, at the end of the day, not sure that would make it better – it would lose pace, lose it's raw freshness. Basically, it’s the best I can do and I am very proud of it. Thanks for your support - it means such a lot to me.x

Hi Lee, I have just finished Death Trip and I thought it was brilliant, I have read The Trophy Taker and Trafficked both of which I really enjoyed. Johnny Mann is now up there with Jack Reacher as one of my favorite characters. I think you are an amazing writer, and I can't wait for the next book. Thank you

Hi Lee just finished Death Trip, it was worth the wait. I know you must be shattered but I really cant wait for the next one. Johnny Mann is a such a flawed hero he almost seems real.
Keep up the great work.
